Apparently doing sit ups/crunches are not ideal for building abs.
When I first started gym, one of the first things I wanted to do was to get a chiselled set of 6 pac abs and instinctively crunches were my go to exercise. Until this day, I still incorporate crunches in almost every abs workout I perform.
So when I first saw this title, believe me, I was sure as hell sceptical. But to my surprise, this video by Callisthenic Movement does provide very strong points that illustrate that crunches or sit-ups are in fact, not effective for building a core set of abs. After watching this video, I have been quite convinced to at least minimise the frequency of doing crunches and emphaise other exercises.
